IVF Optimisation Nutrition Audit

A two-phase assessment for individuals who are tired of being told everything looks “normal” after another failed IVF cycle.

If you’ve experienced a failed embryo transfer despite “good embryos” or poor blastocyst development after strong fertilisation, it’s completely normal to feel devastated, confused, and unsure what to do next.

The IVF Optimisation Nutrition Audit helps you stop guessing and start focusing on the nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle factors that can influence:

  • Egg health and ovarian response

  • Embryo development and healthy blastocyst progression

  • Uterine receptivity and the foundations for implantation

  • Metabolic health, inflammation, and oxidative stress balance that influence IVF outcomes

If this is where you're right now, this audit is for you

  • “We had good fertilisation, but nothing made it to blast”

  • “My embryos looked good, but the transfer still failed”

  • “My egg numbers were low again… or none were retrieved”

  • “I’m doing everything, but no one can tell me what’s missing”

What this audit helps you uncover

This is not a generic fertility nutrition consult. It’s a structured clinical review designed to identify gaps that may be limiting outcomes, including:

1) Metabolic foundations that impact egg health and embryo development

2) Inflammatory load and oxidative stress drivers

3) Nutrient status and blood test blind spots

4) Supplement regimen, dosing, and timing (what to stop, start, adjust)

5) Lifestyle factors affecting hormones and IVF response

6) Fertility-disrupting chemical exposure screening

How It Works

Phase 1: IVF Nutrition Audit and Root Cause Review

A structured, clinical review of nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle factors that may be influencing egg health, embryo development, and implantation.

During this phase, we review:

  • Your IVF history and cycle outcomes, including fertilisation rates, blastocyst development, arrest points, and transfer history

  • Key egg and sperm health drivers, such as diet quality, supplement use, inflammation, and metabolic health

  • Your existing blood tests, what they indicate, and which additional tests may be helpful

  • A detailed dietary analysis covering both macro and micronutrient intake

  • Lifestyle factors, including sleep, stress, caffeine, alcohol, and movement

  • Screening for potential endocrine disruptor exposure, where relevant

Optional add-on: Partner assessment with an individualised plan to optimise sperm health and quality, where relevant to your case.

Phase 2: IVF Optimisation Nutrition Plan and Protocol

We’ll meet again to go through your IVF Nutrition Audit results. You’ll receive a personalised plan with clear, practical steps you can start immediately, aligned to your current IVF stage.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A tailored 14-day IVF prep meal plan

  • A supplement protocol with exact dosing and timing

  • A clear action map so you know what to do first, next, and ongoing

  • A summary report you can share with your fertility specialist

  • An email follow-up a week later to check in and answer any questions you may still have

You'll leave the session feeling

  • Confident your current diet is actually IVF supportive

Not just “healthy” on paper, but supportive for egg quality, embryo development, metabolic balance, and inflammation, with your nutrient gaps clearly identified.

  • Know your supplement plan is safe, targeted, and worth the money

Stop over-supplementing or taking your supplement at the wrong time. You’ll know what to stop, start, adjust, and when to take it.

  • Cover the lifestyle and fertility-disrupting chemical pieces that most people miss

Sleep, stress load, caffeine, alcohol, movement, and endocrine-disruptor exposure are reviewed so you’re not missing silent factors that can affect hormones and the IVF response.

  • Walk away with an action plan you can follow step by step

A structured weekly implementation map so you’re not trying to overhaul everything at once

  • Give your fertility specialist a clearer picture

You’ll receive a concise nutrition report to share with your clinic, so your specialist understands what’s been optimised and what you’re working on alongside treatment.

"My biggest concern was whether my diet was truly optimal for fertility. After my consultation, I gained clarity that my current diet is on track. It was reassuring to have professional confirmation!"

Who this is for

This audit is best for you if you’re ready to:

  • Take action before your next IVF step

  • Follow a clear plan across food, supplements, and lifestyle

  • Know what’s worth changing and what’s just noise

  • Work alongside your fertility specialist as a team

  • Feel confident you’re not missing something important

Who this is not for

This audit may not be the right fit if you:

  • Want a quick fix without adjusting nutrition, supplements, or lifestyle

  • Prefer to wait until after your next cycle to make changes

If your next cycle starts in less than four weeks, you can still benefit from this audit. Greater improvements in egg and sperm quality usually take longer, ideally at least 3 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Catherine is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) accredited by Dietitians Australia and holds certification in Fertility and Prenatal Nutrition through the Early Life Nutrition Alliance.

This means you’re not seeing a generalist. You’re working with a dietitian who has additional, specialised training in how nutrition and targeted supplementation can support fertility, IVF preparation, pregnancy outcomes, and maternal health.

It’s an extra layer of expertise beyond standard dietetic qualifications, with a strong focus on evidence-based care for women trying to conceive and throughout pregnancy.

Our sessions are usually approximately 45 – 60 minutes long.

No. As much as we would like to, no ethical health professional can guarantee specific outcomes, such as improved egg quality, embryo development, implantation, or pregnancy.

Fertility and IVF success are influenced by many factors, including age, diagnosis, egg and sperm quality, uterine factors, genetics, and how your body responds to stimulation. Even IVF cannot guarantee a pregnancy.

What we can guarantee is this. You’ll receive a personalised, evidence-based plan and high-touch support that targets the factors we can influence, so you feel clear, confident, and supported as you move into your next IVF step.

Not necessarily. We prefer to review any recent blood tests and results you already have first, along with your IVF history and current timeline, before recommending anything new.

If additional testing would be helpful, we’ll explain exactly what we suggest and why, so you’re not doing unnecessary tests.

If you’re unsure what to organise, book an IVF Rescue Call, and we’ll clarify the best next step for you.

Home advanced nutrition testing kits are included only when you enrol in the Mastering Egg Health Program.

For other services, testing is not automatically included, but may be recommended as an optional add-on after discussion with Catherine, if it’s appropriate for your goals, results, and IVF timeline.

This may include targeted testing such as:

  • Omega-3 index
  • Glutathione
  • CoQ10
  • Homocysteine
  • NAD+
  • Vaginal microbiome testing

Our fee reflects specialist, high-touch IVF support rather than a general nutrition consult.

Each client receives a personalised strategy aligned with their IVF timeline, a detailed pre-session review, targeted recommendations based on bloods and history, supplement safety and dosing guidance, and practical tools such as meal plans and checklists.

We also limit the number of clients we accept each month to protect the quality of care and responsiveness.

Yes, we’re an accredited provider of most private health funds in Australia. The amount you can claim as a rebate will depend on your specific policy’s coverage under the Extras.

After each consultation, we will provide you with a receipt, which you can submit to your health fund for reimbursement.

The item number for an initial dietetic consultation is 500, and for follow-up consultations, it’s 600. We advise you to contact your private health fund provider before your session to understand the specifics of your coverage.

If you’re eligible for the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, you can access up to five rebates for dietitian consultations through Medicare within a calendar year. To determine your eligibility and obtain the necessary referral letter, please consult with your GP prior to your session. This option is available for valid Medicare cardholders. After each consultation, we will provide you with a receipt which you can submit to Medicare online for reimbursement. The item number is 93000.

You don’t need a referral letter. However, if you want to access dietitian rebates from Medicare, you need to have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan and a referral letter from your GP.
